Creative Commons License

Covid 19_The Other Front Line uses a Creative Commons copyright License in order to protect and share the work of OFL journalists/bloggers.

The license we use is CC-BY-NC-SA – this lets others remix, adapt, and build upon Other Front Line journalists’ work non-commercially, as long as they credit contributors and license their new creations under the identical terms. The people who produce Other Front Line stories/blogs own the copyright to their material, but they are making them publicly available in the pursuit of greater social justice.

Creative Commons copyright Licenses and tools forge a balance inside the traditional “all rights reserved” setting that copyright law creates. The Licenses available give everyone from individual creators to large companies and institutions a simple, standardized way to grant copyright permissions to their creative work.
