Difficulties in finding a good job and pursuing an education

Education, work, and a good future – is it just a dream or a possible reality? For many young people, education is not that important at all, but for others it is vital.  

I often meet young people around me in my everyday life who are willing and want to finish their education because they are motivated by the fact that it’s a necessary step for enrolling in driving courses and getting a driver’s license.  

For others, an important reason to complete their education are their parents and their own dream to attend a senior prom. What can motivate them, however, to pursue higher university education? For many young people, they often choose their education according to their dream profession, but once they graduate, it seems that it is very difficult to find a job that suits their interests and specialization.  

There are rare cases of young Roma people who boldly follow their dreams for careers and succeed in life.  

The difficulties in finding a job are not only because of insufficient education. Quite often young people from minorities are discriminated against and rejected by society because of stereotypes due to a small number of people who harm society with their behaviour and way of life and contribute to these existing stereotypes. Because of these few people, all people from the minority fall under a common denominator.  

My advice to young Roma or other young people from minorities is to complete their education, follow their dreams, and to avoid listening to other people’s opinions. They need to think well about what they want to achieve in their life, what will make them happy, and what they want for themselves.  

Трудностите при намиране на работа и образование

Образование, работа, хубаво бъдеще – мечта или реалност? За много младежи образованието е нещо много маловажно, за други обаче – не е.  

Често в ежедневито около мен срещам млади хора, които са склонни и искат да завършат образованието си, само за да се запишат на шофьорски курсове и да придобият шофьорска книжка.  

Важна причина за други пък, за да завършат своето образование, са техните родители и мечтата им за абитуриентски бал. Какво ли може да ги стимулира обаче да завършат висше образование. Често младежите избират професии, за които да учат, но после трудно намират работа по професията си.  

Редки са случаите на младежи от ромски произход, които следват смело мечтите си и успяват в живота.  

Трудностите при намиране на работа не зависи само от завършеното образование или специалност. Доста често малцинствата биват отхвърляни от обществото заради стереотипи и малък брой хора, които вредят на обществото с тяхното поведени и начин на живот. Заради тези хора всички от малцинствата попадатпод общ знаменател.  

Моят съвет към младите роми или хора от различни малцинства е да завършат своето образование, да следват мечите си и да не се влияят от чуждото мнение. Много добре трябва да помислят какво искат да постигнат, какво ще ги прави щастливи и какво искат за себе си.
