The Street Artists Club

People from our communities experience inequalities related to social class, gender and for being artists. It’s through the art that we gather the strength to resist our struggles. The scenario that was already challenging before, became even more complicated with the covid-19 pandemic. With the help of Iguana Jornalismo we will tell you about our art, our community and our life experiences.

The people behind this project, who will help these women to tell their story live different realities and have different tastes among themselves, but all of them believe that this project can be a great learning experience and a way to generate empathy in the reader. Our goal is to find a way to help these women and their communities. We believe we can improve our ability to care about each other.

História inicial

The Street Artists Club é formado por duas mulheres do sul do Brasil. As pessoas em nossas comunidades vivem as desigualdades da classe social, do gênero e de serem artistas. Nós usamos a arte para resistir a essas dificuldades. O cenário que já era desafiador antes, tornou-se ainda mais complicado com a pandemia de covid-19. Com a ajuda do Iguana Jornalismo vamos contar sobre a nossa arte, a nossa comunidade e as nossas vivências.

As pessoas por trás desse projeto e que vão ajudar essas mulheres a contarem suas histórias possuem realidades e gostos muito diferentes entre si, mas todas elas acreditam que o projeto pode ser um aprendizado e uma forma de gerar empatia no leitor. Noss objetivo é trilhar um caminho para ajudar essas mulheres e suas comunidades. Acreditamos que podemos melhorar a nossa capacidade de olhar para o outro.
