Rose Princess explains the picture drawn, depicting the impact of COVID-19

Covid-19 has been very stressful for me and my community because every age group faced inequality in their own ways: school closures, care home closures, local service closures and others. Many people in my community came out to help the ones in need. Many food banks were set up in order to provide food to the vulnerable ones. This time the inequality wasn’t between gender, race or colour but food, shelter and education.
There was a lot of uncertainty when I went back to college because a lot of students due to different environments were unable to mix with each other. The college also made students feel small as they would try to suggest that young people are the ones spreading the virus and being guilty for everything that we do. Personally, this is very unhealthy for our mental health because the media, community and schools are segregating the young and old people, which in my opinion will mean our people skills are eliminated.
I personally believe that a sense of belonging in my community has increased due to the awareness. However, I still have a feeling that it will be very challenging to get people back to the physical world; Covid has increased the sense of community but decreased the community engagement between different age groups.
